Updates from the Parish Council

Rampton to Cottenham Foot/Cycleway Lighting studs
You may have noticed the new solar powered lighting studs on the shared use path between Rampton and Cottenham. These were installed to improve night lighting and safety on the unlit section of the path.
Rampton Parish Council would like to thank Cottenham Parish Council and the Cambridge Community Fund for their contributions to this scheme.
We would also like to encourage anyone using the path to send comments to enable us to monitor the projects impact.
Parish Council Elections
Four nominations were received for the elections in May and thus the Parish Council has three councillor seats remaining unfilled. Residents can apply now by co-option should anyone feel they could contribute to the community in which they live. If you want to know more about becoming a councillor please let us know.
LHI – An extra lamppost for King Street
The Parish Council have won a grant from the local highways initiative to install an additional lamppost on King Street (boundary of 45 & 47A), as several residents have complained about the pavement lighting in that location. This will be agreed at the AGM.
