Our recent event, ‘Last Night of the Proms’ was a great success and after expenses we were able to add £723.35 to the Friend’s funds for future maintenance of the Church building. Thank you to all who helped with it and supported the evening. We hope to make it an annual event.
The Friends are planning a Coffee Morning in the Village Hall on Saturday 1st April, 10.30 – 12.30.
Come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a choice of homemade cakes.
The Friends of All Saints Church Rampton was established in August 1997 to raise funds for the repair and restoration of Rampton’s parish church. It is not officially a church committee though there is provision for a member of the Parochial Church Council to be on the committee. The church continues, as it has for many centuries, to be a key piece of the fabric of Rampton.
In the past year, 2015 to 2016, the Friends Committee has continued to raise both funds for and awareness of, All Saints Church Rampton. Currently our focus is on popular and recurring events – one or two coffee mornings each year, line dancing evenings twice a year and the wine tasting evening in the autumn. In December we held our second Nativity Tableau outside the church with a cast of live animals and stalwart friends in period costume.
The group maintains a table in the church where cards and copies of the church guidebook are available for visitors to purchase.
An easy way to support the group is to sign up for membership at an annual cost of £10 for individuals, £15 for a family and £100 for a Life membership. The group will be losing its secretary at the AGM in September and is actively looking for a replacement
Thank you on behalf of
The Friends of All Saints Church Rampton
Line Dancing for Fun on 18 March raised £62.70 for the repair and restoration of All Saints Church Rampton. Thank you for your support – we’ll have another session in September!
There will shortly be a vacancy for secretary to support
the Friends committee. The work is not onerous
as the committee meets irregularly throughout
the year (about six times) and holds an AGM. If
this is something you could help with, please
speak with Jacquie Bland (250986) or Gail Bull
(251057). We look forward to hearing from you.
Its that time again, yeehar !!!

Our historical church is a much loved part of our village landscape, but just like our homes it needs regular cleaning.
We have a rota of people who give some time once a fortnight, but we are very short of volunteers. If you would be willing to join the team of people who clean the church, please contact Colin Humphryes on 251 924 or email@example.com
Thank you to our cast of thousands and all those who came to experience the Friends second Nativity Tableau.
Over the two evenings (18 and 19 December) we raised £250 for the repair and restoration of All Saints Church, Rampton. A cast of 1000s to thank and also the many, many people who came along and made such generous donations. Thank you to: Carol Jackson for help with refreshments, Don Bland for marquee and animal management, Kirsty Cameron for help with the donkey, Sarah Cameron and Alison Bateson for music, Steve, Louise, Grace and Hannah Adams, Gavin Cameron, Judy Garstang, Ivor Smith and Alison Wedgbury for being in the tableau. Thanks too to James the donkey and to the sheep – Ada, Clare and Strawberry.
Coffee Morning is planned for Saturday 28 November.
A lively group of 50ish villagers and guests attended the Friends Wine Tasting Evening in the Village Hall last month. Throughout the course of the evening we sampled eight different wines and nibbled on bread and cheese. The evening was also a financial success with donations from our sponsors easily covering our expenses, meaning that ticket sales of £315, raffle £101 and auction £46 go directly to funds for the repair and restoration of All Saints Rampton. Total for the evening to date is £594! A huge round of applause please for Anonymous (from Rampton), Cambridge Building Society, Hockeys Estate Agents – Willingham, MIUS, Open Objects, Sam Green Accountants, Stratlab, The Wallers.
