’77 Committee – Outstanding Local Service

The Rampton ’77 Committee was very pleased to have been nominated in the ‘Outstanding Local Service’ category of these county-wide awards, but we were absolutely delighted to find we had won first place!!

The award reflects 40 years of providing community events in the form of fayres, feasts, fun runs, quizzes, Christmas parties, jumble sales, dinners, treasure hunts, teas on the green, etc. Money raised has been used to run the family Christmas party and the over 60s dinner. Additionally we make regular donations to local and national charities and support other village organisations.

The current committee would like to thank all previous committee members, and members of our special task forces (Golden and Diamond Jubilees) for their past efforts. We would also like to thank the village for supporting our events so enthusiastically.

Want to join an award winning committee? We are always looking for new committee members. Please, if you can spare a few half days per year why not join us and help us make the next 40 years even better? Phone; Judy Garstang 01954 250960
