Royal Wedding Supper Saturday May 7th

For the “Raise the Roof “Appeal

We are holding a Supper Evening in the Village Hall; this is how it is organised.

A limited number of “hostesses” volunteer to run a supper party in the Village Hall.

The Hostess need not be a woman on her own. two people could share a table and share the work and expense. Each hostess invites 6 – 8 friends to the supper party, which is provided by the hostess just for her own group at their own table. The food is whatever you decide to serve but must be brought ready to eat.

The guests pay a ticket price of £10, which is their contribution to the Church Restoration Fund. After the Supper there is entertainment provide by friends from Cambridge Operatic and The Pied Pipers Musical Theatre Club. All of them have appeared as principals at the Arts Theatre.

The theme is to celebrate the Wedding of Wills & Kate’s Wedding but as this is part of a long holiday weekend it will be Saturday 7th May from 7.00pm.

If you would like to be a hostess for the evening please let me know as soon as possible. Jo Taylor

Volunteers Required

The church needs a new key holder to open and lock the church each day, to take Ben and Emma’s place on the rota having moved further into the fens. This person ( or could be a couple) would take turns doing a week every 6 weeks. This involves a walk down the church path each morning & evening. Not only is this a good excuse to take a turn in the fresh air, but is also a chance to see examples of the wild life that live around our village, and can be rather shy. Anyone willing to do this should contact Kylie –Priest in Charge kylie@nullgumnut.me.uk, or 250454.

Many Thanks to Rachel Harris who for several years has delivered the Village Newsletter to the Church End of the village. She and her family have temporarily moved abroad, so if anyone else would like a monthly walk around that end of the village putting newsletters through letter boxes could they contact myself Richard Parker 01954 251194 or newsletter@nullrampton.org

It was really nice to see the church so full at xmas. Many thanks to all those who helped decorate the church with tree and crib. The church path is now much clearer following the December working party. Ed
