The weather on 5th July was decidedly unsettled but, armed with an optimistic forecast from the BBC, our chairman sent a small army of willing helpers out into monsoon conditions to set up the green for the afternoon. Contrary to all expectations the rain stopped and a glimpse of sunshine at 2pm heralded the opening of the annual fayre. Steve Smith acted as master of ceremonies for the afternoon. Congratulations to the tug o’ war winners this year; The Moudlies’ (Adams and Mould family team) athletic achievement will be immortalised on the Rampton Tug o’ War Trophy. The event raised just under £1100.
