Those of you who are Virgin Media customers in Rampton may have noticed that you have problems with your land line after it has been raining. This fault does not seem to effect the broadband or TV services. A Virgin Media engineer has told me that water gets into the junction box by the lay-by as the plinth is not level. This causes lines to short. There is also a shortage of lines available in the box and it has been known for the engineer to swap a line over to resolve a problem with one customer only to cause a further problem with another.
This lack of service from Virgin Media is not acceptable. If enough of us get together we may be able to persuade them to do something about the junction box.
